Pope Benedict XVI : On January 23, 2008, Pope Benedict XVI held an audience with David & Bronny Lea, the leadership couple for the Worldwide Marriage Encounter world council. During their meeting, the Pope was quoted as saying,

"Ah, Marriage Encounter, yes, you are doing such important work in our church especially in this world we live in. I will pray for you and for your movement."

Doctor James Dobson : the well-known Christian psychologist and host of the radio program "Focus on the Family", shared his views on Marriage Encounter as follows: "Marriage Encounter gave Shirley and me the opportunity to occasion the deepest, most intimate exchange of feelings we had known in 20 years...It proved to be one of the highlights of my life...I just wish that everyone who trusts my opinion would now accept this advice: Attend a Marriage Encounter weekend at the earliest opportunity."  (From the book "Marriage Savers", page 172)
